Hello. My Protestant wife wishes to convert but the classes are long and this is a difficult obstacle for a homeschooling mother of four young children.
A) she says the rosary with us should she not?
B) any recommendations for “fast tracking” RCIA
(Also I suspect she’s more solid than some around the nation teaching those classes so it would be nice if there were just a test)
I’d assume since she is a catechumen it would be ok. But I’m no theologian.
I meant to respond to this earlier but did not have the chance.
A) Yes, because she is a catechumen. She has right faith. If she was validly baptized then the only thing lacking is the formal recognition by the Church. If not then she is in what Bellarmine calls the soul of the Church but not the body, provided she means to embrace right faith and has charity for Christ combined with contrition for her sins.
B) See if you can work anything out with the pastor. If that is a dead end, try and see if there is a traditional parish around, regardless of whether it is FSSP, ICKSP or a Diocesan TLM, they will (in my experience) take the time to examine the needs of the person and then determine whether classes and that sort are necessary.

Of course she should pray the rosary! As for RCIA, she should speak with your priest.
Would, say, prayer before a meal (e.g., at a banquet of some sort) constitute the same problem as a Catholic praying in a non-Catholic church? I would assume so since it involves potentially praying with those who do not have correct belief. I am asking for clarification, however, since it is taking place in a secular context instead of within the circumstance of a non-Catholic church or service.
If one should refrain from praying, then, is it acceptable to not participate, but be physically present and say the Catholic prayer before meals to oneself (or maybe a Hail Mary, etc.)?

It is important to note that this moment in Time is the same moment of Time on every point of Space in God’s Universe.
Time exists in relationship with Space, for from the moment God set The Universe in motion, with Time, God’s Universe is expanding.
That doesn’t follow; it is not necessary that the universe is expanding because it is in motion or because time continues. You assume that the universe must expand proportionate to the increase of time and that begs the question.
