Today we are joined by Hugh Owen, the director of the Kolbe Center for the Study of Creation, for an in depth discussion on the Traditional Catholic Doctrine of Creation, and why evolution is in fact a contrary worldview that is not compatible with the Catholic faith. We will cover the basic objections to the doctrine of Creation, both from the standpoint of atheistic evolution, based strictly upon the science as well as theistic evolution, which will include discussion of the social impact of Darwinian theory via Eugenics and Communism.

Fascinating interview, although I have only been able to listen to the first 90 Minutes. There is one thing I have a bit of a problem with: the Behemoth and the Leviathan as dinosaurs. This is mainly due to the fact that the comments in the Arndt Vulgate that I use which was reprinted by the SSPX gives the Behemoth as either an elephant, a mammoth or a hippo, while Fr. Arndt (or whoever wrote the comments) believes the Leviathan to be a crocodile. Now I have a bit of a problem wrapping my mind around this since it has been proven that crocodiles can be killed, while the Leviathan seems to be invulnerable to human attacks, at least with the weaponry of that age. It is certainly also a figure of Satan, as Arndt explains that most Greek and Latin Fathers consider it to be a “large water animal” according to the letter, but in its deeper meaning they hold it to be a figure of Satan. What theological weight do these “crocodile” comments carry and can one freely interpret those “monsters” to be dinosaurs?
